A choreography of new works by nine emerging Singapore-based artists presented in conjunction with the Singapore Biennale 2006. The Second Dance Song is an exhibition of contemporary art practice examining the contingencies of knowledge, appropriation, autobiography, narrative and the production and presence of the artist within the exhibition. Here, the focus turns not only to the means and ends by which cultural re-appropriation and production is taking place today, but also to the relationship between art practices and artistic patrimony. Held in conjunction with the inaugural Singapore Biennale 2006, the exhibition is the second in a series continuing from New Contemporaries: New Art from LASALLE-SIA College of the Arts organised by the Institute of Contemporary Arts Singapore in 2005 as part of Singapore Art Show 2005.The participating artists are: Ahmad Abu Bakar Chang Jinchao Chen Yi-Cheng Chong Li-Chuan Khairuddin Hori Ana Prvacki Shubigi Rao Frederic Sarkozy Andre Tan
